Challenges in life:
“Young generation,” I mean, the youth of our nation. The word ‘young’ means being in its early stage of life. Youths have some overwhelming internal and external problems during this period. The challenges of life are inevitable. They are numerous, diversified, and call for various strategies. Life’s biggest obstacle is not the issue at hand, but rather how we handle it. We can get stronger and more or less successful depending on how we respond to a problem. Being optimistic will also help, if we are struggling to deal with a problem or issue in our life. Being joyful can make everyone around us feel better. When we are happy, we make others around us also happy. It is always better to be in a positive environment rather than filled with negativity. Never give up no matter how bad things become. Always we have to keep in our mind that patience always wins. We improve ourselves when we face and overcome a hurdle or a problem. It empowers us and helps us to have a better understanding of our own personalities. It could even be an adventure!
Youth Problems Nowadays are among others the following: 1. Identity Crisis, 2. Self- esteem or Motivation, 3. Social media.
1. Identity Crisis
An Identity Crisis is a temporary instability that begins in adolescent age wherein a person determines his/her role in society. A person’s journey towards identity is a crucial one. They are ready to learn about themselves and they share their talents with the world at this point of their lives. Teenagers are starting to experience a crisis in which they must make life-changing decisions. They are still exploring their identities and haven’t chosen a specific path or a commitment yet. They are now receptive to novel experiences. When adolescents commit to an identity without considering other options, they attain foreclosure. They merely comply with whatever their parents instruct or advise them to do. This might manifest in agreeing to join the family-business or the same school as their parents studied. Adolescents reach achievement when they have undergone a crisis or faced a problem, through this success try to find and believe themselves as a special person in a society. They are aware of how those experiences have shaped them as a person. It is important to have an identity, even if it might not be the most fruitful one. Everyone needs an answer to “Who am I”? Anyone can become confused and depressed, if they don’t have an identity. Therefore, every person undergoes through an identity crisis at some point in their life.
2. Self-esteem or Motivation
Youngsters of today are lacking confidence in the journey of their life . They don’t have self-esteem which gives inspiration to take action. Self-esteem is a major issue among youth. It is how you feel about yourself (inside and out), encompassing what you think about, value yourself and how you interact with others. One of the major problems faced by youth recently is insecurity. Insecurity about their thoughts, their deeds and their way of life. They read a number of self-motivation books to motivate themselves and to stay confident, but it works only temporarily. You don’t get books or tips on ‘how to be you’. You must find your own path to become YOU. Because that is Permanent. Books aid you in understanding yourself, but they do not offer solutions. What helps them permanently is their self-realization of what they truly are and capable of. There is nothing to feel insecure about the reality. Unless you stop assuming about yourself that you are acting weirdly, you can not see how uniquely you behave.
3. Effects of Social Media
The Social media have significant impact on how psychological, moral, and social realm of youngsters. In sometimes media can determine people’s thoughts how we should think and act. This leads in someway to the superficiality of life. Instead of leading honest life they project a positive public image . Today’s youth are spending lot of time on social media. Only a few are utilizing social media for their betterment. Most of them waste their precious time. A lot of people are curious about others’ life like celebrities. There are many instances in the world where something happens on road and people just stand, make videos hoping that someone would arrive for help. Youngsters give priority to social media over everything else in their lives. They do not like to connect with people face to face. They prefer contact with people on social media platforms. They just go to social event to click pictures to upload on their profiles. Gradually, they become awkward and isolated. They lose their identity. If we think every worse thing is happening to us, we are in hell. So keep moving to be out of hell. It’s everyone choice to stay and moving on. Keep yourselves motivated.
Conclusion:
There are a lot of problems faced by the Youth of today. But the biggest one is not having a Clear Vision of their life. Majority of the youth are unaware of their life-goals, and they want to become. Suddenly you will feel that your life has a purpose. And once they feel their life has a purpose, the motivation comes from them. Constant accompaniment of the formee is the need of the day which would create a companionship between the formee and formator. The old idea of ‘father’ figure of the formator is less accepted by the formees. It could be replaced by the figure of a ‘friend’ who accompanies them constantly. This will create more space for dialogue, which gives solution for major issues and helps to identify the reason for their stress. Youth can do everything when they are young at heart.
